If you make “The King” look bad he’s going to take his ball and go home. But first, he’s going to make sure all of the videotape is destroyed.

Check out this story from ESPN:

LeBron James may have made a dubious decision by asking Nike representatives to confiscate video tapes of a sensational dunk Xavier hoopster Jordan Crawford threw down over King James.

According to CBS Sports columnist Gary Parrish and echoed by Henry Abbott on his TrueHoop blog, Crawford posterized James with a two-hander during a pickup game at the LeBron James Skills Academy. Shortly afterwards, LeBron called over a Nike rep, who proceeded to take the tapes from two cameramen capturing footage of the event before the incident could make the rounds on YouTube.

As Parrish writes, freelance photographer Ryan Miller was approached by Nike Basketball senior director Lynn Merritt, who took his tape.

“He just said, ‘We have to take your tape,’” Miller said in Parrish’s article. “They took it from other guys, too.”

Seems like LBJ is taking a cue from the KGB.

Still, those interested can screen the vid in their mind’s eye, thanks to this description by Crawford posted on Jeff Goodman’s blog at Fox Sports.com.
